Now that Battlefield 1 has been officially confirmed, gamers are eager to jump into the absolute world-breaking chaos. Luckily EA is holding a beta test for the World War I-based shooter, and here's how to sign up.
In order to get early access to Battlefield 1's open beta, all you have to do is sign up to EA Insider over at the Battlefield mainsite. DICE's Lars Gustavsson promises that Battlefield 1 will be the truest representation of all-out world war, with brutal bayonet-stabbing chaos and explosive tank-on-tank warfare that culminates in "old world warfare meeting the new".
Battlefield 1's 64-player multiplayer will be even more havoc-inducing with a ton of new weapons (bayonets, shovels, WW1-style firearms), vehicles (different kinds of tanks, battleships in the seas and planes roaring in the skies) and a huge array of new maps that ensure "no battle is ever the same". "Battlefield 1 i s set on an epic scale, set on a global scale. We want to take the player on a journey across the world. From the deserts of Arabia, or fortresses under siege, all of them creating new opportunities and possibilities through multiplayer and campaign," Gustavsson said during the reveal.
Battlefield 1 is slated to release on October 21, 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and it'll be coming first to Xbox One via EA Access.
