The whole premise of Roller Coaster Tycoon World is making some of the craziest and most unusual rides that you've ever seenm
Roller Coaster Tycoon World has some very big shoes to fill since it's the first PC game of the franchise in nearly a decade. And with the advent of the Steam Workshop and the big focus on modding in the PC community with a lot of other games this could be the perfect platform to show Atari's attention to the PC crowd again. The beta tests have provided some invaluable insight into what fans want, and one of those is user-generated-content. Being able to take an insanely over-engineered masterpiece and slap it into your own park.
This UGC functionality is Atari's answer to a new generation of Roller Coaster Tycoon players on the PC that have embraced this personalization and want ways to truly customize content on their own. It integrates directly with Steam Workshop and lets anyone decorate and plan the best-looking park you've ever dreamed of. You may not have the time it takes to make some of the more complex rides, and we expect people to be very imaginative with their creations, so why not be able to share what you've made and use other's to make your park unique among all others. This is a great development, and it does show their commitment to making PC gaming a priority for Atari.
Atari wants to make RCTW a household name, they told is in an interview that they're open to possibly bringing VR into the mix in the right way, letting you ride your rides in a first person and visceral view. There are definitely big plans for the game, and they want to make sure that it's open for beginners and advanced tycoons alike.
