CES 2015 - At the ASUS CES 2015 press conference today, the company unveiled a slew of interesting new products, starting with the Transformer Book Chi range of 2-in-1 detachable devices.
The three models include the T100 Chi, T300 Chi and T90 Chi.
ASUS was quick to point out that the new Transformer Book Chi range of devices were "Thinner than Air," comparing them to Apple's popular MacBook Air range. The new Chi's are just 1.65cm thick, compared to 1.7cm on the MBA.
When it comes to specs, the T90 Chi features an 8.8-inch 1280x800 display, a quad-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, and is powered by Windows 8.1 - just like the other Chi models.
The T100 Chi kicks things up a notch, offering a 10.1-inch WUXGA 1920x1200 IPS-based display, a quad-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 10 hours of battery life and of course, Windows 8.1.
The Transformer Book T300 Chi is the star of the show, with the option of a 1920x1080 Full HD IPS-based display, or you can switch out the 12.5-inch display for a WQHD panel, with a native resolution of 2560x1440. We have Intel's new Broadwell-based Core M processor, 4GB or 8GB of RAM (!!!), and an 128GB SSD.
When it comes to price, ASUS has priced the T90 Chi at $299, the T100 Chi at $388 and the T300 Chi starts at $699.
