Computex Taipei 2009: Another company we managed to stop by today out in Nangang was DFI who was showcasing its full line-up of new motherboards.
The most interesting for us was its P55 board which features a new patent DFI technology called BIOScure. This new tech by DFI allows users to rescue a motherboard that either had a bad BIOS flash or a failed BIOS due to many reasons.
What it allows you to do is flash the BIOS of the bad motherboard from another computer via USB. The amazing thing is that the bad mobo doesn't even need to have power hooked up for it to work. DFI will end up bundling a Windows application that enables the magic to happen.
Jerry, one of key engineers of DFI was kind enough to introduce the technology to us below on video.
You can always rely on DFI to come out with some weird and wacky new technology, but most of the time they are usually quite good and very unique.
