AMD calls Intel

AMD EMEA president Giuliano Meroni says that the Commission has today established that Intel had abused its dominant market position for years.

"The EU decision will shift the power from an abusive monopolist to computer makers, retailers and above all PC consumers," says Meroni.

EU regulators have been investigating Intel since 2000, following AMD complaints about its business practices.
