Posted: Aug 20, 2015 5:57 am | Gaming Press Releases

Today, FolloweSports.com, the 'TV Guide' of eSports, announced the acquisition of the professional CS:GO team SapphireKelownaDotCom. The team is currently ESEA Premier and CEVO-Pro level. With CS:GO quickly becoming one of the biggest eSports around, FolloweSports.com knew that this was the perfect opportunity for their entry into team ownership.

Marty Strenczewilk, FolloweSports.com co-founder said "With the incredible growth of Counterstrike eSports over the last year it was a no brainer for us to kick off our move into team ownership with CSGO. The Canadian team SKDC has been a mainstay in the scene for quite awhile and with the addition of a key new member who previously played with Tempo Storm, our team is looking awesome."

The roster is made up of the following players:

  • Kyle 'Ocean' O'Brien: Captain and In-Game Leader - Ocean is a veteran of the pro scene, playing in both CEVO-Pro and ESEA Invite in multiple seasons of CSGO and 1.6.
  • Ellis 'Els' Clay: Rifle - Long time member of the team, Els has played in both CEVO-Pro and ESEA Invite in CSGO and 1.6.
  • Warren 'Hades' Rettich: Lurker - A recent member of Tempo Storm and Mythic before that, Hades has extensive experience succeeding vs the best in the CSGO scene.
  • Owen 'Wabbit' Farrelly: Awp - Wabbit returns from a break from the competitive scene to rejoin the Ocean and Els. whom he previously played with in CEVO-P and ESEA Invite.
  • TBD: Fifth Player - Currently holding trials for select invited players to fill this position on the team.
