The UK's national video games regulator has released a revised version of its popular PEGI app. This app allows consumers to look up a video game title and see not only the relevant PEGI rating, but also to understand the reasoning behind the rating given.
The app provides Additional Consumer Information (ACI) - a text-based description of what the game contains in terms of violence, sex, bad language, etc. This facility allows consumers, particularly parents and carers, to make an informed purchasing decision especially if buying games for younger children.
The app is free to download on Apple and Android devices.
