Palit launches GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Apr 30, 2008 3:57 am

Palit were one of the first companies to let us know about its custom designed and factory overclocked GeForce 9600 GSO graphics card.

Before you get too excited though, Nvidia's GeForce 9600 GSO is not new and is nothing more than a relabeled GeForce 8800 GS. In default configurations, it carries the EXACT same clock speeds and specifications.

Palit manages to spice things up though by strapping on 768MB of GDDR-3 memory which is clocked at 1800MHz DDR (default speed is 1600MHz DDR). As far as the core clock goes, that sees a slight increase from 550MHz up to 600MHz.

Palit manages to squeeze in a couple extra features to make it standout, those being HDMI, three phase power and a custom cooling setup, which is said to offer a cooler operating environment. We will have our review online in a week or so - stay tuned!
