Although it was rumored that Samsung might unveil the Galaxy Note8 in September, possibly at IFA, the latest report claims otherwise.

According to a source from South Korea, the company wants to unveil the Note8 in August, the same as they did with the Note7 last year.

The timing makes sense because Apple should launch the new iPhone in September, and this would give Samsung a slight advantage.

The Galaxy Note8 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's yet to be announced Snapdragon 836, and according to the latest rumors - it won't have a fingerprint scanner embedded under the glass on the front of the screen.
