Russian App Developer Squbo.ru has announced today the release of Animotion, an application that lets mobile iOS users create custom animations on the go. Unlike many intricately complex editing software, Animation is light and happy, with a bright easy to use interface and a skill level accessible to anyone.

Much like any other animation, whether it's a Disney film or a flipbook, users need to compose the animation frame by frame. The app does most of the end work, making it just as easy to create animations as it is to post them and share them in your various social networks. In their press release, Squbo.ru wrote:

The beauty of the app is in the way it allows you to channel the creative energy into a work of art regardless of where you are and what previous experience with the graphics editors you have. While its interface is intuitive enough for a child to understand, the opportunities it offers are only limited by user´s imagination.

They also compared it to XKCD- not sure what it has to do with an amazing webcomic, but hey, like we've established I don't write these things.

The app is available for free in the App Store, or you can download the full version at anytime for $1.99. Check it out! The free version is easily enough to entertain your inner or outer child. Press release to follow.

iOS Users Get Portable Animation Studio

Squbo.ru has announced the release of Animotion, the app enabling iPhone/iPad owners to create animation while on the go.

Designed to provide iOS users with an instant creative outlet, this nicely simplistic app offers painting tools for hand-drawn animation. In addition to the essential tools (such as brush and eraser) Animotion features the Stickman. Thanks to the control points the Stickman is easy to manipulate, which makes him a perfect main character for the animated masterpieces.

Just like the traditional animation, Animotion works are hand drawn frame by frame. The smart app then joins all the frames into the smooth piece of content and saves it on your iOS device for you to share with your friends and relatives.

The beauty of the app is in the way it allows you to channel the creative energy into a work of art regardless of where you are and what previous experience with the graphics editors you have. While its interface is intuitive enough for a child to understand, the opportunities it offers are only limited by user´s imagination. You can draw animated comic (those who enjoy xkcd will be especially thrilled with the chance to create animation in the spirit of that incredible webcomic), a present for the significant other, or just something to make your kid happy, use Animotion as pastime or develop your skills - you name it.

Pricing and Availability

Animotion is available for free in the iTunes App store. However, some features are only accessible in the full version which is reasonably priced at $1.99. The app runs under iOS 3.2.1 or later.
