While DDR4 Quad Channel memory performance is much higher when compared to the Dual Channel DDR3 setups; you can see that overall, both X99 boards perform quite similar to each other. Overclocking has not really changed anything, as memory clocks remain the same.

When it comes to gaming performance, you can see that the stock version ASUS X99 Deluxe comes out a little ahead in 3DMark. Overclocking helps push those scores up slightly, but the biggest gains from the overclock come under Sleeping Dogs at 1680 x 1050, where the CPU continues to be a limitation.
