Starting out with 3DMark 11 we can see some strong performance out the gate that clearly puts it ahead of the R9 280X 3GB TOXIC. It really doesn't sit that far behind its bigger brother the R9 290X 4GB at the Performance preset, but does drag a little bit behind at the higher Extreme preset.

 

Against the NVIDIA offerings, you can see there's not much between the higher-end ones at the Performance preset, but they do manage to separate themselves by a decent margin when it comes to the higher Extreme preset.
