Synology® DS cam Version 2.0 is Now Available on Apple® App Store

 

View Live IP Camera Feeds on iPhone® and Newly Supported iPad®

 

Taipei, Taiwan-May 27, 2010-Synology® Inc. today announced that the Synology iPhone® application DS cam version 2.0 is available for free download on the Apple® App Store. Users of iPhone or iPod® touch can now directly access any IP camera and stream the live view with the Synology DS cam application. In addition, DS cam now supports Apple iPad®, allowing iPad users to live view their IP cameras, take snapshots, and view recorded events from Surveillance Station and take advantage of the much larger screen size.

 

"Synology DS cam 2.0 provides iPhone users the ability to directly access their IP cameras without using Synology DiskStation to manage, and it is totally free," said Rosiel Lee, product manager of Synology Inc. "Synology continues to deliver applications which make life easier and the Synology DS cam is a prime example," added Lin.
Other features of the Synology DS cam 2.0 include the ability to live view multi-channels simultaneously for IP cameras managed by the Synology DiskStation, and MPEG4 event replay.

The Synology DS cam version 2.0 works with Synology DSM 2.3-1157 and is now available for free download on Apple App Store.
