Essential, the company created by Android founder Andy Rubin, recently launched their much-awaited smartphone, the PH-1 (PH-One or Phone).
The PH-1 currently sells for $699 but is available with a 360-degree camera attachment for $749. However, even though we have known the price of the PH-1, we had no idea when it would actually be available. You could go on the Essential site and 'reserve' an Essential PH-1 without knowing when it would ship or arrive.
That wait is over now, thanks to Andy Rubin's interview and informal launch at the Code Conference put on by Recode.
At this fairly informal launch Andy Rubin, Essential's founder, said that the company would not open the device for pre-orders if it would not be available for shipment within 30 days.

Many have taken that to mean that we can expect the Essential PH-1 within the next 30 days or in the month of June. That is much sooner than many had expected, especially coming from such a new and small company like Essential.
We can't wait to get our hands-on one and see how it looks and performs in-person.
