ASUS has just unveiled its new top-of-the-line ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, which features a hybrid cooler that can run on its own with its dual-fan cooler, but you can plug it into your existing water loop and run it under water.
ASUS says that the new ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will run hotter than the GTX 1080 Ti Strix, but once it's under water, the temperatures will come down considerably.
We should expect 75C or so with the dual-fan cooler, which is around 5-10C hotter than current custom GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards.
But when it's under water, the new ASUS ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti runs at just 50C - but remember, it'll come down to your specific watercooling setup.
ASUS haven't provided detailed specs on the new GTX 1080 Ti ROG Poseidon, but we know it'll feature 6+8-pin PCIe power connectors, ASUS' next-gen DirectCU H20 cooling, ASUS Aura Sync, and more.
ASUS ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti features:
- Next-gen DirectCU H2O hybrid cooling for complete flexibility for either air or liquid cooling.
- Standard G1/4-Inch Terminal Block design lets users easily plumb a custom water loop using a variety of fittings.
- Patented Wing-Blade IP5X-Certified Fans for maximum airflow and longer fan lifespan.
- ASUS Fanconnect II provides hybrid-controlled system fan headers for optimal system cooling.
- ASUS Aura RGB lighting with an infinite-reflection design.
- ASUS Aura Sync RGB synchronization enables a gaming system personalization.
