We should expect Microsoft to unveil its Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro at its event on September 23, but ahead of that, Paul Thurrott from WinSuperSite has scooped up some information from his various sources to provide the world with a preview of Windows 8.1 tablets.

There's quite a few to expect, including the serious Nokia Sirius tablet, which is shown above. We should also expect the Acer W3-810, ASUS Transformer Book Trio T100TA, Dell Venue, an unnamed Dell tablet, Lenovo Miix 8, Lenovo Miix 2, and Toshiba Encore. Every single one of these slates will be running Windows 8.1 and Intel's new Bay Trail processor.

Thurrott does tease us, stating that Microsoft is planning a "Surface mini" that will arrive as an 8-inch slate and ship later this year once Microsoft is done with the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro
