Thrustmaster T500RS - the official peripheral of Gran Turismo?

By: (more) | Peripherals News | Posted: Dec 6, 2010 12:20 am

Gran Turismo 5 is finally out, but it has strangely been absent without a high end 'official' steering wheel to go along with it. For a very long time now Logitech has had the pleasure of building wheels that carried the Gran Turismo branding until now?

Thrustmaster seems to have secured the license for the GT franchise now and is building a wheel called the T500RS as pictured above. The T500RS promises unrivaled accuracy and seems to sport some form of magnetic sensor technology which Thrustmaster used in their HOTAS Warthog controller.

Pricing is just a rumor at the moment with that rumor being $500 MSRP without the official H-pattern shifter.

More info is said to be unveiled at CES.
