id Software made a big comeback with the reboot of DOOM, and now Quake Champions is on the way, a new PC-exclusive arena-based first-person shooter due out in 2017.

The company has released the first gameplay trailer to Quake Champions, which is above, and it has plenty of rocking jumping goodness. The gameplay trailer was unveiled by id Software Studio Director Tim Willits during QuakeCon 2016.

Quake Champions has infused the old-school Quake games, while keeping load outs away from Quake Champions. Willits explained: "No loadouts, no limit to the amount of guns you can carry. Time the weapon pickups, or kill your opponents. That's how you get weapons in a Quake game".
