Restoring deleted e-mail?

Is it possible to restore e-mail that has been emptied from the deleted items folder?

I'm running windows 98 with outlook express.

dbxtract or mbxextract might do the trick but i haven't seen either program in at least a year.

there also used to be a utility called rmail that did this..
