The 7820X has a base clock speed that is 300MHz higher than the 7900X, so depending on the number of cores and active load, the 7820X can actually perform slightly better. In the end, we see pretty much the same scores across the board for Intel's HEDT CPUs.

 

UNIGINE shows the benefit of that higher base clock, and it's something that helps the 7700K and 7740X stay ahead of the pack.
