BFG's Retail Offering

The BFG 7800GT looks very similar to the 7800 GTX although it's back to the size of the 6800 Ultra and has a slightly smaller cooler then the 7800 GTX. It is still a single slot card although we do recommend that you keep the slot next to it spare if possible to prevent problems with heat which could occur or hinder overclocking.

BFG have placed their own marking on the heatsink fan so people know what is running that beastie system of yours as they peak through your case window.

We have Dual DVI like the 7800 GTX along with HDTV Out and VIVO which makes the card in features terms exactly the same as the bigger and more expensive 7800 GTX.

The Package

Unfortunately the packaging isn't quite as full as the 7800 GTX. We have our normal pieces of paper including setting up multi monitors, quick install guide, about SLI, BFG's Gaming website, HDTV out instructions and the all important BFG stickers.

Software wise we have our BFG CD with drivers, manual, nVDVD, some 3D demos and a copy of Video Studio 9SE.

On the cable front we have exactly the same as the 7800 GTX which is everything to get the most out of your card as soon as you pull it out of the box. Included are DVI converters, PCI E power cable, VIVO cable and HDTV out cable.

While there are no games included in the package we are become quite use to companies not including them lately. The chances are that by the time you have decided to buy the card you already have a few games that you want to play in mind anyway.

How much does it cost?
