The Bottom Line

DXRacer has crafted an awesome gaming chair with its Iron Series, with a wider seat and more adjustment than you can poke a stick at.

Introduction, Quick Specs, and Availability & Price

After falling in love with my Battlebull Combat Gaming Chair, DXRacer approached me with a sample of their new Iron Series gaming chair. The DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair is their latest gaming chair, which features additional padding and a "4D sliding" armrest - interesting, so I thought I'd check it out.

The new Iron Series gaming chair from DXRacer, before I used it, looks like it could be a super comfortable chair for those massive gaming sessions, and I wasn't wrong. It's uber comfortable, and it also looks incredibly awesome, too.

One of the big benefits of the new Iron Series gaming chair is that it supports a larger load - of up to 900kg (2000lbs) - but for an actual human being sitting on it, the Iron Series gaming chair can handle up to 130kg (286lbs).

Quick Specs

DXRacer offers the Iron Series gaming chair 12 different combinations of colors, with the sample we received in the color I asked for - the beautiful blue/black style, which looks great. There's black/green, orange/green, red/black, and a bunch of other color combinations available.

The company has provided their interesting '4D sliding armrest', with all of the accessories passing DXRacer's 72 strict quality tests, too. DXRacer offers an excellent two-year warranty on their Iron Series gaming chairs, with a new base that has been "designed by teams of foreign professional to last indefinitely".

Availability & Price

The Iron Series gaming chair from DXRacer is quite expensive, where it's sitting on Amazon at the time of writing for $449 - $479 depending on the color combination you want.

Taking a Look Around (the DXRacer Iron Series Gaming Chair)

Detailed Look

The DXRacer Iron Series comes in various parts, which takes around 15-20 minutes to build.

DXRacer Iron Series Gaming Chair Review 01

The front of DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair looks slick as hell, and quite menacing - to me, at least.

The cushioning on the chair is lush and thick and is super comfortable to sit on for hours at a time.

The base of the chair is a five-legged aluminum base that uses universal 3-inch casters. It rests on an enormous 27-inch base, which is quite wide - allowing the Iron Series gaming chair to hold the immense weight that it does.

The arm rests on the chair are insanely comfortable, and can be customized and moved to your liking.

The rest of the chair can be adjusted with the height, recline position and the height of the armrests all completely adjustable.

The adjustment of the back is a racing chair-like handle, which I loved to use.

Butt, What's It Like to Sit On?

DXRacer Continues to Lead the Gaming Chair Market

Now that I've sat on a few gaming chairs, it's good to come back and reflect on more chairs to see how the new one stacks up. I can safely say that the DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair is insanely comfortable, and in some ways, it's much more comfortable than its competitors - for something that's purely personal to the way I sit - beats the rest.

DXRacer Iron Series Gaming Chair Review 15

Where the Iron Series gaming chairs win out is its wide seat with its edges not bouncing up with foam. This means I can sit with one, or both of my legs crossed on the chair. Sure, I'm weird - but I know that some of you reading this sit in my weird, unique way. It's comfortable for sitting for longer periods of time if you're somewhat flexible.

I can cross one of my legs on competing gaming chairs, but not both - because the sides of the chair are raised cushion which doesn't leave any room for my feet. The chair is comfortable, but for hanging your legs down for extended periods of time, it can be uncomfortable after a while.

The DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair is great for those who want the extra room on the sides thanks to the wider seat but allows for a little movement when you're on the chair, too. It's something you don't think you need until you have it, then it's hard to go back to another chair without the wide seat.

What's Hot, What's Not & Final Thoughts

What's Hot

Larger Seat - Way More Comfort: The Iron Series gaming chair from DXRacer has one of the most comfortable seats on it, with generous padding and a wide base - allowing you to wiggle around on the chair and even fold your legs up on it.

Huge Base: With the rather large base, you can stretch out and not feel like you're going to fall off the chair. This is important when you kick your legs up to watch a YouTube video or watch some Daredevil S2 on Netflix.

Great Quality Chair: When you're dropping nearly $500 on a gaming chair, you want it to not only look good, but you want excellent quality materials and a beautiful finish. It will find a place in your gaming area, and feel good the entire time.

What's Not

I loved the DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair, so I can't say anything bad about it. The only improvement I would ask for is that it comes assembled in the box... but that's not going to happen now, is it?

Final Thoughts

Overall, I loved the DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair, with the standout feature or "hell yes, buy me!" part of the chair being the wider seat. It's not only comfortable but super-wide, allowing you to cross your legs or wiggle around on the chair.

DXRacer Iron Series Gaming Chair Review 16

To me, this is quite important for those hours and hours sitting at your desk or in front of your TV. It might not sound like much, but it's a huge part of the seating experience. Heck, I'm typing this review while my legs are crossed on the chair, and I couldn't be more comfortable.

The entire experience is great, with the DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair looking great, with a much more racing chair infused design. Previous chairs have been racing chair inspired, but DXRacer has put all of the bells and whistles onto the Iron Series gaming chair, and it pays off.

If you need to give your butt a nice rest, the DXRacer Iron Series gaming chair should be at the top of your list. If you are like me and sit with your legs crossed, this is a 10/10 buy for you.
