AquaMark 3

AquaMark 3 is the latest installment of the AquaMark benchmark suite. This new benchmark is much more powerful and demands much more from both the system and the graphics card. If there is any weakness in the system or 3D components, AquaMark 3 will find them.

AquaMark 3 is a relatively new benchmarking tool and has managed to make quite a name for itself. Though very graphics card driven, it also allows for a reasonable series of tests for processors since it makes use of the extra horsepower quite well.

Our numbers from this test suite were all showing very impressive increases. We see a 28% rise in the overall score with an even better 30% increase in processor results. You'll probably also note the 22% increase in GPU scores as well, but I think this is going to be attributed to the fact that the Athlon XP was unable to provide enough data for the video card to get a good workout. Since the Athlon FX processor is considerably stronger than the former, it was more capable of allowing the video card to actually do its job to its fullest.

OK, one more synthetic and then we'll kick off with a bit of gaming.
