Final Thoughts

It's hard to be really impressed with the ZOTAC 8800GTS 512MB card; it's nothing we haven't seen in the past week or two from our Mystery Company and ASUS. The lack of an included game is a bit disappointing, but they're not the first company to have not included a game with the G92 based 8800GTS, and they probably won't be the last.

Where the ZOTAC offering should become interesting is when they decide to release an AMP! Edition of the card; they tend to be pretty good when it comes to overclocking and we should be able to get some good performance numbers out of the model when it comes out.

The biggest let down to the 8800GTS 512MB is just how good the 8800GT performs. With a 512MB overclocked model performing at a similar speed it's hard to grab an 8800GTS 512MB. Some people are simply not interested in overclocked parts though, so no doubt there is still a place in the market for it.

All in all, ZOTAC have done a pretty standard job with the card. It's not exciting but we're not exactly disappointed with the card. If it's in stock, the price is decent and you're after an 8800GTS 512MB you're not going to be disappointed.
