After a little more than a year in business, Spelkollektivet is opening its new doors to over 50 international game developers
Väckelsång, Sweden - September 25 th , 2018 - After a little more than a year in business, Spelkollektivet is opening its new doors to more developers than ever before. Company officials are expecting to accommodate more than 50 international game developers within a year.
Spelkollektivet has been working closely with the Swedish government the past nine months to make this expansion possible and thanks to the big interest and dedication from the municipality and politicians, it succeeded.
The idea behind Spelkollektivet is to provide housing and tools for independent game developers. They all come to Spelkollektivet to work on their own projects full time without any distractions. This way they are able to network and share experiences across nations and cultures to create better games, while we take care of everything else.
James Newnorth, Founder of Spelkollektivet, said: "I am very excited to be expanding with Spelkollektivet after having a full house for almost a year. The first day upon announcing the news on social media, we received applications from 20 people across the world. From the looks of it, it's going to be a very diverse crowd who'll be embarking on this journey with us."
