With Intel's Core i5 coming soon, it should come as no surprise that some pictures are starting to pop up concering compatible motherboards, especially since Computex just around the corner.

The upcomming Crosshair III Formula motherboard from ASUS has been spotted in the wild and the board is expected to debut at this year's ComputeX.

Motherboard giant ASUS has finally listed the upcomming P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard that they showed off at CeBIT this year.

The new motherboard looks to be ready to cater to enthusiasts, with dual nForce 200 chips and 7 PCI-E Gen2 x16 slots. The board will support CrossFireX and SLI, as well as giving users a choice between Core i7 and Xeon processors.

Intel has announced two new motherboards hoping to spur some growth in the area of small form factor computing.

First up is the D945GSEJT boarth that comes fully integrated with an Atom N270 processor and the Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset. Intel seems to think this low-power nettop platform is great for building all-in-one or thin client PC's.

Looks like Zotac is really going to jump on the ION bandwagon after all. EXpreview brings us news that Zotac is hard at work on their new Mini-ITX Ion based mainboard.

The new board looks like it will have everything needed for the small ION Based Nettops that could be cluttering the shelves soon. Wireless, the nVidia 9400M G, Three SATA ports, Two RAM slots and HDMI/DVI/VGA ports.

The interesting thing is no expansion slots, not even a single PCI-e 1x port. Makes for a very closed system. Many have asked if this is really a feasible platform as you can get a full C2D E6350 on a Mini-ITX board with a lower (and half-height) GPU with more power and for less than these initial ION systems will cost.

Either way the introduction of ION into the Netbook/Top waters will be interesting to watch.

The ASRock X58 SuperComputer motherboard has driven the Core i7 to new heights, setting a new overclocking record for the Core i7 950 processor.

Now that Intel and NVIDIA are butting heads in a legal battle, NVIDIA is focusing a little more on their offerings for AMD fans.

TechPowerUp found out that NVIDIA somewhat silently made the nForce 980a reference board official by adding the board to their product page. The 980a doesn't seem to be anything groundbreaking from NVIDIA, but it does bring AM3 and DDR3 support

EVGA launched the X58 Classified Edition motherboard, raising the bar on enthusiast level motherboards.

Folding@Home and Multi-GPU users rejoice. Asus in a fit of creativity has created a mainboard based on the X58 chipset with...Seven PCI-e slots, that's right I said Seven.

This board which will be called the P6T7 WS Supercomputer, is related to the amazing P6T6 WS Revolution. It will have a whopping four x16 PCI-E slots and three x8 Electrical slots.

Other specifications are similar to the P6T6 WS.

Pricing is not mentioned but with the P6T6 WS running at almost $400 you can bet the P6T7 will be quite expensive.

While we are still many months away from seeing Lynnfield chips on the shelves, PC Games Hardware managed to get a bunch of pictures of upcomming ASUS boards.

ASUS has two boards with the LGA 1160 socket: the P7U and P7U Pro. The only notable difference between the two appears to be the second PCIe x16 slot on the Pro, while the P7U has a PCIe X1 slot in place of it.
