Apple sucks up 60% of the markets touch panel capacity, laughs manically

Apple plan to ship 40 million iPad products in 2011, the large amount of products being manufactured and shipped surely isn't easy and in order to secure such a large number of possible sales Apple has had to occupy close to 60-percent of the global touch panel capacity which is causing tight supply with the iPad's enemies.

Dell Adamo killed off after massive discounts

I really liked the looks of the Dell Adamo notebook. The thing that most of us didn't like was that the notebook sold for about $2000 when it first launched over a year ago. The performance just didn't live up to that big price tag and you were mostly paying for the style of the rig. Over the last few months, Dell has been offering some impressive discounts on the Adamo.

AMD C-50 Fusion APU inside Toshiba NB550D gets benchmarked

We talked a bit about the Toshiba NB550D netbook with the AMD Fusion APU yesterday when it got unboxed. The gang over at Netbooknews also posted up some benchmarks for the new Fusion processor inside the machine to give us an idea how well the netbook performs. The machine has the C-50 APU running at 1GHz and a HD 6250 GPU that supports DirectX 11.

Giada AMD Fusion A50 and several more nettops break cover

Some think the nettop and netbook market are dead thanks to the tablets like the iPad. That isn't quite true just yet, there are still a lot of consumers that are shopping for these machines and there are a lot of computer makers still adding new machines to their lines. Giada has announced that it has launched four new nettops for 2011.

Gaming notebooks are a lot of things and powerful is one of them. Power hungry is another thing they are famous for meaning that they often have really short battery life. The rigs also tend to be expensive. That said, a lot of gamers will still opt for a gaming notebook when it means lots of performance in a form factor that is easier to take with them to a LAN party than a desktop.

DisplayLink offers cheap app to turn iPad into secondary screen for notebook

Working on a notebook if you are used to working from a desktop can be difficult thanks in part to the small screen that you get even on larger notebooks. If you are like me and are used to large desktop screens moving around windows and constantly searching for things on your netbook or notebooks small screen gets old fast. If you have an iPad you take with you, DisplayLink has a new app that will turn the iPad into a secondary display.

BenQ R100 tablet PC to launch in early 2011

I don't think of computers at all when I hear the BenQ name. I think more of the displays and projectors that I have seen from the company. BenQ along with everyone else and their dog is set to toss an Android tablet onto the market early in 2011 with its offering called the R100. A few pics of the device have surfaced and it looks to be pretty cool.

It doesn't take long when you use the iPad a lot to realize that having to look down at the screen if you watch movies or read a lot can be a literal pain in the neck. There are a ton of stands on the market for the iPad to prop it up for you making it more comfortable to use. The latest stand to hit the market is from NewerTech. NewerTech makes all sorts of accessories for Mac computers and has for a long time.
