Everyone is exhausted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and rightfully so as we have been living with it for many months now.
So, when can we get back to life before COVID-19, when will normal life return to the US? According to the chief medical advisor to the White House, and the nation's leading infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the US can approach a certain "degree of normality" by the end of the year.
Dr. Fauci revealed the news on CNN's "State of the Union", and said the US could have "a significant degree of normality beyond what the terrible burden that all of us have been through over the last year." Additionally, Dr. Fauci said he agrees with President Biden's prediction for normal life returning to some degree by the end of the year.
"As we get into the fall and the winter, by the end of the year, I agree with [President Biden] completely, that we will be approaching a degree of normality. It may or may not be precisely the way it was in November of 2019 but it'll be much much better than we're doing right now," said Dr. Fauci.
