This is how you find out when your stimulus check will arrive
The Internal Revenue Service has updated its website to show the status of your stimulus check. Find when yours will arrive here.
If you are one of the millions of Americans waiting for a coronavirus stimulus check from the government, you will be very interested in this tool created by the IRS.
The exact amount of the stimulus check headed to American pockets is still up in the air, as we don't know if it will be a $600 check or $2,000. President Trump and many Republicans and Democrats are pushing for the latter of the two but are being met with resistance by Senate Republican leadership. It seems that struggling Americans will receive the $600 stimulus check at this point in time, but when?
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has created a tool that allows each and every American to track their stimulus check status via a tool on the IRS website (Get My Payment). This tool is available in both English and Spanish, and after you input some basic identification information, you are able to see when your stimulus check is expected to arrive. If you are interested in this tool, check it out here.
The IRS stated, "The IRS and the Treasury Department began issuing a second round of Economic Impact Payments, often referred to as stimulus payments, last week. The direct deposit payments may take several days to post to individual accounts ... Paper checks also began going out and will continue to be sent through January. Some people will be mailed debit cards in January, and the IRS urges people to carefully check their mail."
