No product announcements.

Sandisk and DivX has signed an agreement which enables Sandisk to play back DivX content on its video capable devices such as the Sandisk Sansa e200 series and the Sansa Connect and the upcoming Sansa View. Although the first two products are video capable, the screens are really too small to watch video on, so this announcement has most likely something to do with the Sansa View, especially as it mentions future products.

If you've missed the early info about the Sansa View, then we'll quickly give you an update here. The Sansa View has a 4-inch widescreen display, 8GB of built in flash memory and an SD card slot. It looks like a cool product, let's just hope the price isn't going to be too high.

As a result of the partnership, future SanDisk video products can now include interoperability with the DivX Stage6 video website. This partnership is designed to provide SanDisk consumers with seamless access to the growing library of professional and user-generated video content available today in the popular DivX format.
