Mexico coronavirus cases topple 1 million mark, deaths near 100,000

The Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker is showing that Mexico has toppled the 1 million coronavirus case milestone.

Coronavirus cases around the world aren't slowing down any time soon, and now another country has passed the one million coronavirus case mark.

Using the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker, we can see that Mexico passed the one million mark for official coronavirus cases as of Saturday last week. As for new daily cases, Mexico is recording around 5,000 new cases every day, and the official death tally is nearing the 100,000 mark.

At the time of writing this post, there are 98,542 officially deaths and 1,006,522 confirmed cases.
