This past Friday, Italy has reported its highest number of new daily coronavirus cases since the pandemic's beginning.
According to MedicalXPress, Italy has reported over 10,000 new cases in a single day, which is now the highest the country has reported since the beginning of the pandemic. More specifically, Italy reported 10,010 new cases and is now the third day in a row that the country has broken its record for new daily cases.
Italy's previous highest number of new daily cases was reported back in March, with 6,557 cases. In total, Italy has confirmed over 391,000 cases of COVID-19, and so far, 36,427 people have died. If you are interested in tracking the coronavirus for yourself, check out this link here.
