Data collected by the Johns Hopkins University has revealed that the US has had 1,000 people die from COVID-19 every day for the last four days straight. Select states across the nation are struggling under pressure from the virus, and many hospitals are buckling, with some even turning away mild COVID-19 cases due to capacity limits being reached.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published an ensemble forecast that predicts that the total number of coronavirus deaths in the United States would reach 175,000 by August 15th.
