DVDs will deteriorate over time, but that's not a big deal for me. The real problem, though, is that the discs become too sensitive in a family with kids. If you have young kids like me, you'll understand it doesn't take much for a kid to scratch a DVD when less attention is paid to. All it takes is one tiny little scratch and that's pretty much the end of that movie. This is why I come up with the idea of creating copies of my original DVDs. For me, having a digital DVD copy also enables convenience not available with DVDs - I can instantly play a movie without fumbling over looking for and swapping DVDs whenever I want to.
The fact is, I'd been thinking about doing this for some time; however, since I'm not especially tech-savvy, I was intimidated and kept postponing the job. I initially planned to rely on DVD to digital copy services online which charge for around $2- $ 5 per disc, and since I have hundreds of DVDs around the house, the estimates seem cost prohibitive. I ultimately started to copy my DVDs when I came across this easy and effective software- WinX DVD Ripper Platinum.
Why do I Choose WinX DVD Ripper Platinum to Copy My DVDs?
The DVD copy software lets me copy all my store-bought DVDs and discs created from VHS tapes and home videos. I've successfully created copies of different DVD types, ranging from Hollywood blockbuster, TV drama, newly-released titles, and workout DVDs to old and unplayable discs. Copy protections can't stop the program either. It has no problem copying DVDs with CSS, 1-6 region codes, RCE, UOP, and even my kids' favorite - 99-title movies.
The best part is, it has four unique copy modes that allow me to retain the best possible quality. I can copy DVD to ISO image or Video_TS folder with original data preserved to keep an intact copy on the hard drive or video server or burn to a blank DVD. I don't want to spend too much time for the non-favorites and the 5-minute copy modes are here to extract full/main DVD title to MPEG2 file with all videos/audios/subtitles.
That's just a taste of what WinX DVD Ripper Platinum offers. From mainstream MP4, H.264, MOV, AVI to high-efficient HEVC, I'm sure it includes something for everyone thanks to its massive library of 350+ output formats. I can create digital DVD copies to tablets or phones for my children without bothering with the array of file formats and codecs. Don't worry if you have the latest iPhone 11 Pro Max, Galaxy S10 or Apple 4K TV, it has you covered.
Long story short, WinX DVD Ripper Platinum has just enough DVD copy options for great outcomes without confusing a novice like me. Let's get right down to the copy process.
How to Copy a DVD with WinX DVD Ripper Platinum?
The process is simple. First of all, free download the DVD copy software on the computer.
Step 1: Launch the program and put a DVD into the DVD drive. Now click the DVD button in the top-left corner, select the disc from the drop-down menu and click OK.
Step 2: It may take several seconds to detect the DVD. Check the Safe Mode on its interface if it fails to recognize a disc. Once the scan finishes, a list of output selection will pop up. Pick up a format or destination device for the DVD copy.
Step 3: The default settings for every output profile are automatically set to the ideal and there's no need to fiddle with additional settings. If required, go to the settings or edit page to further customize the output based on your requirements.
Step 4: Browse for or open a Destination folder on the computer. Then click Run to start to copy the DVD. The time for the task may vary according to the output settings. It's pretty fast overall (Don't forget to check the Hardware Accelerator, it can utilize the Intel QSV and NVIDIA NVENC/CUDA for a 32x real-time faster speed when you want to save a DVD copy in H.264/H.265 formats).
This is pretty much how I copy my DVD collections with WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. I'm satisfied with the results and happy with how simple this software was to get working. I hope my experience will be helpful! Good luck in your efforts to create DVD copies!
