The new update doesn't add a whole tonne of new features to the app but it has enough substance to consider it an update to the app. Version 1.5.0 brings "Various performance and usability improvements implemented, including changing the button display position." The update also adds numerous fixes to bugs and increases what is required operating system wise for both Android and iOS.

According to the patch notes, users that have the Nintendo Switch Online app will be required to have iOS 10.0 or later or if they on Android have 5.0 later.
