Fortnite reaches 20 million players, now ahead of PUBG

Fortnite is now home to over 20 million players.

The headlines are filled with Battlegrounds, but Epic Games is continuing to amass gamers in their own game; Fortnite, which now has a Battle Royale mode.

Fortnite is on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 with over 20 million players since it launched a few months ago now. Battlegrounds is $30 and locked to Steam right now, with the Xbox One version of the game coming on December 12.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game with microtransactions that haven't pissed gamers off in droves, with the core game completely playable, for free.
