Russia has adopted cryptocurrency with its arms wide open, so much so that Burger King is getting in on the digital currency train by offering Whoppercoins when you buy food at Burger King.

There have been over 1 billion Whoppercoins issued so far, with a press release on it stating: "Eating Whoppers now is a strategy for financial prosperity tomorrow:. For every rouble spent (59 roubles is roughly $1), will get you a single Whoppercoin.

Burger King is planning to launch both Android and iOS apps so that you can keep a track of your Whoppercoin collection, with the new digital currency being traded online, as well.
