During their recent financial report, Capcom noted they have sold 3.7 million copies of Resident Evil 7 between January 27 and June 30. The company hoped to have sold 4 million copies, so we should expect them to get there soon enough, they just need to sell another 300,000 copies.

Resident Evil 7 launched for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 24, 2017.
