Today June 16 the pay off for pre-ordering Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will commence as Square Enix unleashes Early Access for PC gamers. Those who have already purchased or who do so before the expansion pack officially becomes available next Tuesday, June 20 can get started on the journey to the new lands of the east. Not only that, two sets of pre-order deals are available at two different retailers with discounts up to 18% off for MogStation keys of FFXIV: Stormblood.
Both DLGamer and GMG are digital retailers hosting very similar discounts. The UK-based GMG is fully authorized and selling Stormblood keys to both North American and European customers alike at a 17% discount rate dropping the standard edition from $40 to $33.79. It's the same situation for the France-based DLGamer offering a slightly better 18% discount offer and seeing the standard edition go down to $32.99.
- Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Digital Collector's Edition - $49.79 at GMG (list $60)
- Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood - Digital Collector's Edition - $49.49 at DLGamer (list $60)
- Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood - $33.29 at GMG (list $40)
- Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood - $32.99 at DLGamer (list $40)
Both retailers are selling legit copies of MogStation keys (these work with non-Steam version of AAR). Be sure you are purchasing in the right region and we recommend you avoid using a VPN while purchasing. Final Fantasy XIV is a region-locked title and has different keys for North America and PAL/ROW regions. Keys sent to you will include the early access/pre-order bonus keys, which you can redeem here.
Now that there's a discount involved, is it worth bumping up to the Collector's Edition? Well, everyone is in a different situation. Cosmetically, there are extra options in the Collector's Edition and hardcore fans may appreciate the extra Syldra Mount, Wind-up Bartz Minion, and Chicken Knife. If you think you can snag your own flying mount then we'd suggest skipping out on the pricier Stormblood Collector's Edition.
