On Friday Arkane Studios is re-imagining the 2006 original Prey with its own 2017 version of the same name. The new first person RPG/shooter, published by Bethesda, will cost the standard $59.99 on Steam, but Steam keys are getting discounts in the highly competitive PC gaming retail market. Price breaks up to 25% from legit retailers are available.

All retailers below are sourced through Bethesda, so they all come with the Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack pre-order bonus. This is the same pre-order bonus found on Steam which includes the Margrave Shotgun & Ammo Plans, 2 medkits, starter fabrication materials, 3 Tarnstar neuromods, and a recycler shielding chipset. Basically a nice little DLC tossed in for good measure, but nothing critical to the game.

Prey Discounts:

The cheapest way to go is at the UK-based retailer GamesPlanet. GamesPlanet only displays prices in British Pounds, but you can buy worldwide through Paypal or with select credit cards. The discount to £34.99 turns out to be about $45.09 at the time of writing (currency exchange rates fluctuate) which is the best price in the US.

Another UK-based company with a great price is GMG. Their 20% discount to $47.99 is an excellent price break and there is no need to deal with a currency conversion at all. GMG will require you to login or create an account though to get their best "VIP" price, but creating an account is standard procedure anyway, so one shopping there might as well create an account to get max savings.

Three other sites are of note and fairly close in price to the others. The Sweden-based GamersGate is 19% off with its drop to $48.59 which is less than a buck off from GMG's 20% mark down. DLgamer and Bundle Stars are both around $53 in price, which is about 15% off.
