Nintendo Switch should hit 60FPS in portable mode with Minecraft

Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch is a strategic move by Nintendo, but hitting 60FPS in portable mode is a big deal in itself. The latest details on Minecraft for the Switch is that it'll run at 60FPS in portable mode, and that the world is "medium" sized compared to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft.

The world should be around 3072x3072, and when compared to Minecraft on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U - it's huge, as their worlds were just 864x864. This means that Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch will have a world that is 13x bigger.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition launches on May 11 digitally, with a physical release soon after.
