Need a gaming laptop for cheap? HP now has two 'Power Laptop' in the 15t and 17t, getting you Kaby Lake and GTX 10 Series for only $650

The philosphy behind HP's new Power laptops appears to be the same thinking behind "power naps" and "power walks" - you don't need to invest too much into it, and you're going to make it count. That is to say, HP looks to be positiong these as fully gaming-capable but affordable laptops. They are certainly far away from other typical gaming laptops with discrete graphics at a very enticing price poitn of only $650.

The 2017 released 15.6-inch HP Pavilion 15t Power Laptop sports some of the latest specs, like a quad-core 7th generation Kaby Lake processor and GTX 10 series graphics card (the GTX 1050 to be precise). That makes it capable of playing most modern video games and with the current $200 off price tag - a historic low price by $30 - it's a good option for those needing a portable PC gaming rig on the cheap.

A budget gaming laptop with no coupon codes or other hoops to jump through, we think both the 15-inch 15t Power Laptop along with the 17t Power Laptop are excellent budget gaming laptop picks at this point in 2017. Also noteworthy this week is HP's premium Spectre 13t ultra-thin laptop, on sale at $1,049. While decisively NOT a gaming laptop, its a premium machine rarely on sale - so we're tossing it above just as a reference deal.

No expiration dates are noted on these laptop deals, but from how HP has run their weekly promotion, we're suspecting the deal will last until later this Saturday, March 18.
