Ghost Recon: Wildlands is out this week with discounts for PC gamers up to 20%. Deluxe is now cheaper than a full priced Standard Edition copy

Are you a PC gamer looking to pick up this week's big tactical co-op release Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands? If so, did you know there are discounts on its release week? Indeed two PC gaming retailers are competing hard for you cash with discounts up to 20% off.

The first retailer is the popular UK-based Green Man Gaming. There you'll find all editions at a cool 18% off slashing Standard to $49 all the way up to the Gold Edition dropping to $82. GMG is an authorized PC gaming retailer for Ubisoft and is one of the largest digital retailer on the web.

Arguably a better choice is the Sweden-based GamersGate. GG has a slightly better 20% discount and is also an authorized by Ubisoft PC gaming retailer. Either retailer will help you avoid gray market and still get 20% off with a price drop to $48 for the Standard Edition, $56 for Deluxe, or $80 for Gold.

Both deals have been available since early February, and we expect them to continue being offered through release week. Now that the game is released, all keys are sent immediately after purchase. The $40 list price Season Pass is also now added to store catalogs and carries with it the same percent off at both retailers (GMG is $32.79 while GamersGate is $31.99).

Gold and Deluxe Editions

If you were going to throw $60 at this game and see now that Deluxe is actually cheaper than that (as cheap as $56), you might be tempted to upgrade to that or the Gold Edition. Everyone is different, and there is no right answer on which edition you buy. Basically, Deluxe gets you more customization options and a unique gun, one-time use XP boost, and motorbike. Gold gets you all of that plus more unique weapons, a permanent XP booster, and the game's Season Pass.

We should note that besides the permanent XP boost and coin pack, the Gold Edition content will not be playable on day 1. You'll have to wait for most of it till later in the year. Buying Gold at a discount is more of a long-term investment with the savings up front here, rather than buying the $40 Season Pass at a later date.
