The top For Honor PC deals as we near release

Ubisoft's For Honor is about to launch on Feb 14, we've rounded up all the top PC pre-order deals available
By TweakTown Dealzon from Feb 10, 2017 @ 15:09 CST

For Honor's Open Beta is now available for those looking to partake in the action. The Beta started up Thursday, February 9 and runs up to the game's official release date of Tuesday, February 14. If you give the Beta a whirl and she looks like a keeper, or if you're just enticed by the hype, For Honor also has some decent pre-order discounts available.

PC gamers have three good options to choose from as far as authorized PC gaming retailers go: GMG, GamesPlanet, and GamersGate. If you're in North America you're limited to GamersGate and GMG, who are 22% and 20% off respectively. Both retailers are authorized by Ubisoft and delivery keys instantly via email.

In the EU/Africa/Middle East, there's also GamesPlanet. There you'll find the price listed in British Pounds, but you can buy world wide... and with the weakness of the British Pound in the last few months for many the favorable currency conversion makes an even better deal. GamesPlanet is not selling North American keys, so beware of this.

Gold, Deluxe, or Standard Edition?

All PC gaming retailers have all three versions of the game available for purchase. We'll be straight with you and say everyone's situation is different, so there is no right answer, but we will try to detail the versions.

The Standard Edition is the base game only. If you pre-order from any of the above retailers you will still get "The Legacy Battle Pack" pre-order bonus. This grants you three additional hero outfits at the start of the game. The pre-order bonus is the same for all editions.

The Deluxe Edition basically loads you up aesthetically. You'll get the game, 3 unique helmet crests, deluxe edition emblems, a special "execution sunbeam effect' and 7 days of "Champion Status". Champion Status grants you extra XP and Loot for a period of time for yourself and those that play with you in multiplayer.

The Gold Edition gets you everything in the Deluxe plus the Season Pass of the game. Unlike some titles, some Season Pass content will be available on Day 1. This includes a Sunbeam emote, 3 scavenger crates, and exclusive emblem, 30 days of Champion Status (plus you still get an additional 7 days from the Deluxe). You'll also get access to 6 new Warriors which will not be ready to play on Day 1, but will become available later in the year.

Go with what edition best suits your style. If you're on the fence, maybe stick with the Standard. If you're excited by the hype, go for Deluxe or Gold. Either way, the discounts should help out.
