HTC has joined both Oculus and PlayStation VR with its new Vive Video app, a piece of software that plays back all sorts of media, including 2D, 3D, 180-degree, and 360-degree content.

There are even options to provide different VR back drops and environments, such as a massive theater, or home theater - and everything in between. There's still the Vive Home Cinema app, as well as other third-party players, but Vive Video seems like the more complete package.

You can grab Vive Video from the Viveport app store, which includes a teaser for the Invasion! 360-degree video.
