NVIDIA testing self-driving cars in California
NVIDIA begins testing autonomous car technology in California.
NVIDIA has been pushing more and more into self-driving car technology, with the GPU maker now added to California's list of companies that can test their autonomous car technology on the road.
The company has been designing processors for self-driving vehicles, and has now put together a vehicle of its own so that it can test it out when it needs to. The DMV in California approved NVIDIA, with the state also recently approving smaller automakers like Wheego and Valeo, as well as Google, Honda, Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and Baidu.
