Samsung Galaxy S8 will not include headphone jack
Sources say Samsung Galaxy S8 will also forgo headphone jack.
Samsung has poked fun at Apple for ditching the headphone jack with the iPhone 7, but it seems that was purely a marketing move, as the company is now following suit. Sources have confirmed to SamMobile the Galaxy S8 will remove the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack; if you want to use existing headphones, you'll require a a USB Type-C adapter, and if you want to plug the phone in and use wired headphones, you can't.
The upside is the potential for a thinner device with a larger battery, as well as stereo speakers; Samsung's recent acquisition of Harman means a potential collaboration on said speakers.
The Galaxy S8 will be revealed in February.
