Top 6 laptop leftover deals for Cyber Week

From 17-inch gaming capable laptops for $570 to budget $300 machines, we look at some of the top Cyber Week laptop deals

The Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals are over, and you still didn't buy that new laptop? No problem, there are still a few hot deals leftover from Cyber Monday. If you're on a budget or want something higher-end with a good price break, we've rounded up the top 5 post-Cyber Monday laptop deals.

Three retailers stand out as offering decent deals: Lenovo, HP, and Dell. It's obvious to us that Lenovo is trying to rid themselves of a few 2016 laptop models to make way for the upcoming 2017 units, probably with new Intel 7th generation "Kaby Lake" processors. HP and Dell, on the other hand, have a select few laptops equipped with the new 7th gen processors on the cheap.

  • 1) Lenovo Ideapad 700 - $669.99 at Lenovo (list $930)
  • Use Coupon Code: DRBUSTER88
  • 15.6" 1080p IPS Display
  • Core i5-6300HQ
  • 12GB RAM
  • eForce GTX 950M
  • 256GB SSD

  • 2) Lenovo Y700-14 80NU002AUS - $719.99 at Lenovo (list $1,000)
  • Use Coupon Code: DRBUSTER99
  • 14" 1080p IPS Display
  • Core i7-6700HQ
  • 16GB RAM
  • Radeon R9 M375
  • 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD

If you've been looking for a cheap mid-range and entry-level gaming laptop, both the Lenovo models above should do the trick nicely. The Ideapad 700 with the GTX950M will be able to handle most modern games at decent settings, while the smaller 14-inch Y700-14 has a much weaker GPU though it will still suffice for casual gaming. Both units come with SSD and are at a rare price range for machines with SSD, Full HD IPS panels and a GPU.

  • 3) Dell Inspiron 17 5000 - $749 at Dell (list $1,050)
  • Use Coupon Code: EARLYBIRD250
  • 17.3" 1080p Display
  • Core i7-7500U
  • 16GB RAM
  • Radeon R7 M445

Dell has refreshed their lineup of the 17.3-inch Inspiron 17 with a new 7th gen "Kaby Lake" processor. This one spec'd with a Core i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, and a Radeon R7 GPU was originally listed for $1,050 when it first released this month. Now after a $300 off coupon code you can reduce the price to $749. Probably the cheapest i7 Kaby Lake laptop out there with 16GB RAM.

  • 4) HP Pavilion 17 - $569.99 at HP (list $880)
  • Use Coupon Code: EMRY9599
  • 15.6" 1080p IPS display
  • Core i5-6300HQ
  • 8GB RAM
  • GeForce GTX 960M

HP killed off most of the big discounts it was posting on Cyber Monday, but one laptop to get a slightly better price was their basic 17.3-inch HP Pavilion 17 model with a Quad Core i5 processor and discrete graphics. This is in fact a very gaming capable laptop and one of the lowest priced on the market with a Quad Core CPU + GTX 960M GPU.

If you're into a larger screen 2-in-1 fold-able laptop, the HP Pavilion x360 at the Microsoft Store will be worth looking at. This week the Intel 7th gen "Kaby Lake" equipped laptop dropped to $529, which is $200 off the usual $729 at most retailers. HP has a similar configuration with weaker 6GB RAM on sale for $529 this week, but this laptop at Microsoft has a higher 8GB RAM for the same cheapest-ever price point.

One last laptop to look at the Microsoft Store is their 15.6-inch Lenovo Z50 gaming-ish laptop for only $319. One shouldn't be bragging about these specs for gaming, but it will be capable of light gaming with an AMD FX-7500 CPU and Radeon R7 video card. Free game download included from AMD, which you can find the details about here.
