Six years after its launch, WhatsApp has added video calling to its service, joining group chat and voice calling on the software's feature list.
Video calling is supported on Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone. Quality is said to be excellent assuming a good Wi-Fi connection, and calls are said to be easy to make.
The feature addition puts WhatsApp in direct competition with Google Allo and Duo as well as Skype and Facebook, which can be only good for users. Boasting 1 billion users, expect WhatsApp to heat up the competition.
