The Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW) technology has been designed to help lower the threshold for the Rift's compatibility. The ASW will perform on platforms at 45 frames per second, instead of previous requirements of running games at 90 frames per second.

With this technology available, its means that no longer will a powerful GPU be required to keep the framerate up. Overall customers will save money by not having to purchase the most expensive products to run VR.
